Our company was established by long-time locals with a passion for the beauty and serenity of the Southern Alps. We take great pride in providing a handful of guests each day with an unforgettable luxury snow experience like nothing else in New Zealand.
Mark grew up on a high-country farm in New Zealand’s Southern Alps with a passion for the outdoors and a love of the mountains. In addition to farming, Mark founded a heli-ski and lodge business based at Mt Potts, being the only cat-assisted skiing operation in New Zealand at the time. This business evolved into Heli Park NZ, the first semi-guided heli-ski operation of its kind in the world. After moving to Queenstown, Mark spent his winters guiding for Southern Alps Heli Ski, where he honed his mountain knowledge and safety skills and qualifications. Summers were spent guiding and hosting high-end clientele for his own business, before taking up the role as Operations Manager at Soho.
Daniel has been a senior member of Amisfield’s Bistro team since 2015. Daniel hails from New Zealand’s sunshine capital, Nelson. He made the move to Queenstown after spending three years in beautiful Chatel, France at the prestigious Portes Du Soleil ski resort, where he managed a luxury chalet. Daniel believes Soho offers the perfect opportunity to combine his passions for hospitality and snow sports.
